Community Services League hosts an array of spectacular events throughout the year to highlight our efforts of supporting our mission through philanthropy. Our upcoming signature events are detailed below.

Join us at the 2024 Fashion for Compassion fashion show. This wonderful morning event full of excitement with friends includes a huge raffle and silent auction, boutique shopping experience, brunch, and fashion show, all while benefitting CSL’s children’s programs including Back to School Fairs and our Holiday Stores.

Join us on the green at Drumm Farm for our 11th Annual CSL Golf Classic. Enjoy 18 holes of golf (foursome, scramble format), tournament day contests, games, full breakfast, delicious lunch, drinks, raffles, and watch our winning teams be selected as the tournament champions! A great day of golf and fun while supporting our neighbors in need.

This spectacular, highly anticipated event, LUMINOUS: Lighting Pathways to Change – continues to welcome more than 500 of our most prominent supporters and is CSL’s premiere evening Gala. We look forward to celebrating 108 years of continuing with Bess Wallace Truman’s legacy of making meaningful and lasting change in our neighbors’ lives at this one-of-a-kind event. Join us for our most extravagant event full of happenings beginning with our welcome reception, followed by a lovely dinner, program, exclusive live auction and a live, high-energy performance with Lost Wax accompanied with dancing to close out the evening.
CSL appreciates everyone that has been involved with, donated to, and attended Ooh! Outpouring of Hope over the last 23 years. When the event first started, vendors, with a relative affordability, could direct significant product donations and staff to help make Ooh! magical. As we all know, in the last few years, drastic price increases on food and drink, as well as labor costs, have put a lot of pressure on our valued Ooh! vendors. While we know our vendors would love to be involved in every charity event they’re invited to attend, they must pick and choose. The bottom line is that charity events, like Ooh!, that rely on food and drink donations, face an uncertain future.
The total amount raised over the lifetime of Ooh! is more than $900,000. Coined locally as Eastern Jackson County’s “largest happy hour,” Ooh! has been attended by approximately 9,000 guests who contributed to the tenure of continued success from 2000-2023.
We have made the difficult decision to sunset Ooh! as one of CSL's Signature Events, and we look forward to remembering it fondly as a magical event that created countless connections for CSL. With CSL’s many signature events and volunteer opportunities, we know that we offer many meaningful ways for people to connect to CSL, and we look forward to redistributing our efforts from Ooh! to other CSL engagements.
