Eastern Jackson County Drop-In Center
Thank you to The Rotary Club of Independence for selecting CSL as the beneficiary for Mardi Gras 2024. With the commitment from Rotary to kick-off this campaign, more than $100,000 was raised at Mardi Gras for the Eastern Jackson County Drop-In Center.
This video was produced by the City of Independence, and in collaboration with Community Services League and the Rotary Club of Independence.
Through the partnership with CSL, Good Shepherd, and The City of Independence, we are able to address the needs of our neighbors in the community through the addition of an easily accessible Drop-In Center.
The Drop-In Center will be located at Good Shepherd Community of Christ, and will have many services available for neighbors in need such as laundry, showers, mail delivery, meals, employment, and more.
We encourage the community to get involved by making a donation to the Drop-In Center campaign. This campaign addresses the problem of homeslessness, and provides a solution for the community. The Drop-In Center is expected to bring better health outcomes for unhoused individuals, and make meaningful change in the lives of 300 unhoused persons over the first two years, helping them on a path towards permanent housing.
